We  appreciate that choosing the right school for your child is a hugely important decision, whether you are looking for a place in our Reception class or our Year 7 class. We at Footsteps are here to make the application process simple and straightforward for you.

The best way for you to find out whether Footsteps School is the right choice for your family is to visit us. Whether you would prefer to visit Footsteps on an open morning, or to have an individual tour of the school, we will accommodate you.

Footsteps School is a co-educational, non-denominational primary school, welcoming students from all cultures, religions and nationalities to reflect our vibrant and diverse Cayman community.

Children must be four years of age on or before 1st September of the school year in which they enter Reception. Footsteps School accepts students throughout the academic year, as long as there is space in the relevant class.

 

Inclusion

At Footsteps, we aim to offer equal opportunities to all children, including those with English as an additional language and those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). In order to ensure that Footsteps can provide all students with the support they need to succeed, it is vital that all educational psychologist or other professional reports are submitted for review. Children may be invited into school for an informal assessment and a short trial. In some cases, the school may deem it necessary for additional support to be put in place at the cost of the family. Whilst Footsteps is an inclusive school, we strive to maintain the recommended balance of student population with SEND in order for our school to be a true representation of society and for the working environment to be balanced, manageable and beneficial to all.

Next steps:

  • Complete our online student registration form below

  • Pay the non-refundable administrative fee of $300 

  • Send any educational psychologist or therapeutic reports

  • We will contact your child's current school/daycare provider to complete and return the student reference form 

  • Upon a place being offered, complete sign Parent & Student Agreement Forms and provide the required documentation

  • Pay required deposit to secure your child's place, refundable against the first month's fees
